It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Making the most of set-pieces

Hi, I dunno if this is against forum rules or what, but I'm not really making much headway with my set-piece setup, I'm playing two games using similar styles, 442 (big man little man front combo) with Liverpool and Nuneaton Borough respectively.

In both games I just cant seem to get my team scoring from set-pieces very often, if at all. I've tried to make sure all my instructions aim for my target man but they always seem to go elsewhere regardless?

Any ideas on putting this right would be appreciated.

Also whilst I'm here, I'm using RoT based instructions and want to use Peter Crouch as a Target man... but my players still seem hellbent on putting the ball on Bellamy's head instead... very annoying aswell. Any ideas on this too?

I think it's easier to score from set-pieces in fm07 than in fm06. Just apply common sense really; good headers forward, apply set-piece training to your takers and try to set the players up according to their relative strengths (if that made any sense..)

As for your second question, I'm pretty sure it's linked to the fact that you have Bellamy on a higher mentality than Crouch (at least that's hw it was in fm06). Try to switch them and see if you notice any difference.
