It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Hello

I play a 442 diamond formation and my amc is the target man this is how I sat it up.

fullbacks and wingers on direct passing cross aim is set to target man my target man is always tall with high heading jumping off ball Greg halford is the best amc target man in the game even though he is a rb-wb-r you can play him in amc while training him in that position I have used halford for England and arsenal always gets a high form rating. I am in fact a lower league manager but im testing my tactics in all divisions currently with awesome success.

Now the 2 strikers in front of him have high acceleration, passing composure, finishing.

My amc will knock the ball on to my strikers who will always nearly score from it or he will knock the ball back to the dmc who will knock back up to the strikers. This tactic works in every division.

My target man is over 6.2 and 15 all on target man stats for prem for conference just look for heading and jumping of set search to 11. Same applies to strikers.

Amc is off-ball heading jumping

Strikers are composure acceleration pace finishing.

this tactic works wonders for me after 3 seasons of struggling and shouting at the monitor I am now finding the game very easy in any league I play I’m going to post the full tactics I use after a few more seasons of testing I use two formations built around a target man my inspiration and knowledge comes solely from reading these forums im a utter lurker but be posting a large tactical thread of my findings soon to give back what I have learnt here.

Are there special instructions that i need to give my target man?
or he should just be with the right physical ability?

Sounds great. I've never thought about having the AMC as the target man. Can't wait for the thread, so i can test this tactic myself

not really..The only thing i do is turn cross ball to rarely in player instructions, else he sometimes wonders off to the wing

I've got Jon Carew on loan at Cardiff from Lyon (now my parent club) he's 6'5" and has excellent jumping and heading abilities, doing the job at the moment.
