Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Ste1978:

No it was in FM07. I found that it takes a while for any set of players to adapt to a new tactic so I just stuck with it and managed to put in a decent run towards the end of the season. Even Crainey managed to produce a few assists and chip in with a few goals from the set plays!

Keep the faith!

i've got klose in my 4-2-1-3 formation as middle striker, target man and hold up ball, he's awesome and my top striker season after season.

Just finished me 2nd season with Nuneaton. Signed big Duncan Ferguson on a free at the start of the 2nd season and built my tactics around his aerial ability, basically an attacking 4-3-3 that concentrated on crosses to the target man (obviously Dunc).

He finished the season as me top goalscorer, 12 league goals in total and a couple of assists. Not bad since he was out for 2 months with a hip injury as well. Also used me training schedules to improve his stats, even his pace, agility and acceleration increased from 1 by at least a couple of points until the injury cancelled out the training effects.

Now at the start of me 3rd season, and I'm to sign Dion Dublin. Hopefully Dunc and Dion will tear some holes in Conference defences with plenty of bullet headers this season

there is nothing you can do to prevent it
its so unrealistic!
all the goals i conceded came from headers
now i see why..
imo its a H-U-G-E bug
even Drogba didnt win 90 precent of the balls!!
in real life its a 50-50 situation
but in FM 07 its 99-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
