It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Klose is the central striker of three. He is the target man without that option actually enabled, and he is played to head.
If I wanted to show off Klose, I would go to the GPGT forum. This is not about Klose though, this is about using a target men, Im just showing it works bloody good.

Have players around him that can finish off moves

Hold up ball is selected, yes.

Why are people asking him for his tactic?? HE'S CHELSEA!

My 14week old son could finish top of the league with them!

If people want a challenge then manage Leeds Utd, and if you have an success let me know how you did it!!

I've heard a few people complain that big strikers are now a real handful. A complaint of FM2006 was that too many small defenders won headers against big target men, so perhaps SI have over-compensated.

Not something I've really noticed personally, but that isn't the first screenshot I've seen Sibierski excel in.

Carlos Javier Acuna by the way.

Ste1978:

I got promoted with Leeds via the playoffs and then scraped into the champions league in my first season in the premiership but Im getting battered in my third season! I was playing 4-2-2-2 with two defensive midfielders and two wide attacking midfielders. Ill post the tactic when I get back to uni. Much harder in my 3rd season because I cant loan players from arsenal or chelski anymore because they see me as a championship rival (I had walcott and Mido afetr I got promoted and was tipped for relegation)

It definately helps that you can loan as many foreigners as you like. I had an influx of foreigners (sell out I know) but it worked a treat for me!

Marching on Together...

I agree to a certain extent - I've Greg Halford in my championship team and he absolutely RULES. Same principal!

notoriousfin, did you do this in FM07 or 06?

The trouble is if you don't get in the playoffs you generally get the sack even though the team you have is not good enough to challenge!

Marchin on indeed! To div one!!

lol - Zigic is a right freak. I can't believe Bolton didn't sign him in the summer when he was available - although I heard they have a giant Jap in their reserves!
