That kind of post really isn't helpful. If you don't understand someone's desire to play a game where they have edited finances then just don't bother posting a reply, they don't want to hear you say 'play the game normally' they want advice on who to buy and what tactics to use, as suggested by the first post. </BLOCKQUOTE>

I do understand people who edit the game: I'm one of them - although not on this edition I have had many saves with edited finances and many without. I was not saying 'play normally' I was just saying that the Villa game is a good one becuase you have money yet still have a challenge and it would save him from having to use the editor which sometimes can be annoying.

And my post wasn't helpful? At least I gave a suggestion to the OP. Tell me what exactly did your post add? Apart from making you look like an arrogant know it all? Have you made a post to help the OP?

Tip for next time you post: Think about what you're posting before you post it.

And please tell me where I told the OP to 'play the game normally'? As you said.

I understand exactly what you're saying - I actually reread your post twice after making mine (something I should have done before), and realized that you were actually making a helful suggestion. My apologies.

then ronaldo, ronaldinho, kaka and vieira

ooohh and then zlatan imbrahimovic and trezegut and ooo e'to and henry and sobis and why not rooney and ooohh how about giving yourself a squillion pounds and buy every single player on the planet... you'll be sure too win the prem and champions league and be crowned 'da best eva' .. and then you'll realise its boring, pointless and you'll just go and play fifa
The reason why not is because he is giving a club about £500,000,000 not a squillion pounds. And he is not cheating to automatically enhance their reputation using editor at the start of the game, so players like Rooney will not automatically come.

And he isn't planning to buy all the worlds best players, he's planning to put together a top team with a bit of extra cash.

It's a financial boost to help compete with Chelsea and such, not a pick and mix with the worlds best players from the off. </BLOCKQUOTE>

bit of extra cash?? 500million?!
and am i not right in thinking that "a pick and mix with the worlds best players from the off" is basically the exact definition of chelsea?! </BLOCKQUOTE>

No you are wrong, Mourinho carefully plans transfers even if he makes a lot of them for large amounts of money, which is what I assume this person would do with his £500,000,000 rather than just pick out Kaka, Ronaldo, Messi, Rooney and such and buy them for the sake of it. It is a lot more money, but not as much as you seem to think, if he doesn't get results with that amount of cash the manager is in trouble, and a club of Villa or Blackburn's reputation cannot attract the worlds best players straight away. It is more difficult than you think.

Even if he had those funds i'd doubt that the worlds best players would come to Everton or Aston Villa in the 1st season.

Tbh, all he needs to do is edit the reputation while he edits the finances.

Yes but I don't think he intends to do that, meaning that the point about buying the worlds best and it just getting boring is not a valid one
