Was just sitting playing my Man Utd game and was browsing Italian clubs and was looking at Palermo and when you think about it they've got a quality squad.

So do yo think Palermo would be a good long term game?

they've got some quality players to start with. A low expectation so that gives you time to build a squad.

They've got a smallish stadium which would provide room for improvement.

What do you reckon? anyone tried it?

i started a game with Palermo..is amazing.i have a good team.My favourite player is Amauri.Is a good challenge

Not tried playing as them but iirc their board is full of twats from what I've read around the forums. The accept lowish bids for almost every one of their good players and most want to leave soon anyway. Barzagli wants to leave almost from the start itself. Zaccardo attracts interest from big teams like Chelsea & Milan. Cavani starts attracting big teams after 1 season and usually becomes unsettled. Same is the case with Amauri.

Ofcourse, since I've not played, I'm not sure. This is based on what I've read around the forums mostly and also from playing the game and seeing almost their whole side leave within a season. IIRC, in one of my games the following players left them latest by Jan:
Agliardi (I bought him)
Zaccardo (Chelsea)
Barzagli (Juventus)
Cassani (forgot)
Simplicio (Villa I think it was)
Migliaccio (Lazio)
Bresciano (Sevilla)
Cavani (me)

Amauri was still around but was attracting all the big clubs around so was a cinch to leave soon too. But hey, give it a shot and see what happens. If you're not happy after even the first transfer window, just leave the game. :thup:

Yeah thats the problem, all of the players you listed leave 95% of the time on my games aswell.

Hmmm might give it a shot, might not, i'll see.

yes palermo is a very good game and their chairman irl is very volitile

Palermo is a good game IF you can keep hold of the good players, but thats where the challenge lies.

Even in 8.0.2, Zaccardo and Barzagli have left them and half the remaining squad look set to leave.

If you want a good game in Italy try either Fiorentina, or Lazio (take a look at my Lazio thread )
