This is probably a question of how many clubs I've joined, really.
2007-2009 Andria Bat. (Italy Serie C2/C)
2007/08 Finished 9th in the league.
2008/09 Was on course to finish in the playouts and collapsing, so I left in March
2009 - 2010 Ronse (Belgium 3rd Division)
2008/09 season. Joined just in time for them to finish 4th in the league and fail to promote through the Div2 relegation playouts.
2009/2010. Club expected promotion. Quit when we were mid-table. New manager took over and managed to scrape them up to 6th
2010 - Haarlem (Holland - Dutch 1st Div)
Joined up with them and found they were seriously in debt. In the summer, the club just wouldn't let me negotiate lower rate of contracts with the existing players. Club was £30million in debt and I wasn't able to sell the players. Quit them in sheer frustration in November.
2010 - 2011 Isola Liri (Italy C2/C)
Losing consistently. Quit in March when they were bottom of the league. Following manager managed to win enough matches to get up to 17th in the league and survive the playouts
2011 - 2012 Godoy Cruz (Argentina 2nd Division)
Turned this struggling team around so they.
2010/11 - managed to scrape up to 16th in the league and survive.
2011/12 - improved on the squad so they finished 10th
2012/13 - quit in October when the team collapsed again. They recovered to 18th place
2012- 2014 Defensores (Argentina 2nd division)
This turned out slightly differently.
2012/13 finished a respectable 11th in the league
2013/14 Finished 15th in the league.
I was then approached by Real Sociedad and I went "hell yeah"
so
2015 - 2020 Real Sociedad (Spanish Liga BBVA)
2014/15 - Finished 6th in the league
2015/16 - rebuilt the squad a bit and finished 7th in the league
2016/17 - Reached 3rd in the BBVA and thus promotion to the Spanish 1st division/ Primera Liga or whatever
2017/18 - 11th in the 1st Division - a respectable result
2018/19 - 10th in the 1st Division
2019/20 - At this stage, I was fed up with the spanish registration bug, so I quit the club - not before getting to the QF of the cup. Sociedad eventually got relegated that season.
In 2019, I was approached for the Uruguay job and accepted it
URUGUAY -
World Cup
2022 - got into the World Cup finals but didn't manage to get past the group stage. Record in the WC was 0-2-1
Group finishing order was :

2026 - got to the group stage again - this time with a 1-0-2 record and failed to get to the 2nd round

2030 - qualified for the 2nd round

South Korea (a very strong favourite to reach the 2nd round)

Lost in the 2nd round to Brazil in a tight match that went to extra time. We lost 1-0
Copa America - Reached the QF twice - in 2027 and 2023
back to the domestic front
I was offered the Rangers job and took it.
Then I found out that Rangers were **** and expected (by the press) to reach mid-table.
Hibs had won all the major Scottish competitions for 5 years consecutively and Rangers were starting to fray at the edges.
Of course, the board had other ideas and expected European competition
2020-2025 Rangers (SPL)
2019/20 - managed to scrape into 5th place and an Intertoto spot
2020/21
* Intertoto - won
* UEFA cup - out 1st round
* League - finished 4th
2021/22
* UEFA Cup. Topped the group and got knocked out by Vit Guimaraes
* League - 3rd place
* Cups - runner up in league cup
2022/23
* UEFA cup - out in the knockout round again
* League - SPL Champions
It took over a decade to win my first league title at any level. I had a celebratory cup of tea
2023/24
* CL - finished 2nd in the group stage and got knocked out in the knockout stage by Man Utd 7-5 on aggregate
* League - SPL Champions.
* Cups - league cup runner up
2024/25
* CL - got to the quarter-finals, where we were defeated 5-4 on aggregate by Juventus
* SPL - crashed to finish 4th
* Cups - won the Scottish cup
2025/26
We were doing OK in the league but not going for another SPL win. I was offered the Napoli job in November, so I jumped again. Rangers eventually sunk to 4th in the league.
2025 - 2027 Napoli (Serie A)
2025/26 - Finished 5th in Serie A.
Out of the cup in QF
out of the UEFA cup in the knockout round
2026/27 - sucked. jumped ship. napoli eventually finished 7th
2027 - 2028 - Bolton (League 1)
They sucked. I hated the team. Left January. They ended up 10th
2028 Hamilton (SPL)
They sucked. Relegated in 2028
Stayed part of 2028 then jumped ship
2028 - 2030 Lokomotiv Moscow (Russian Premier League)
Midtable obscurity was the name of the game.
2028 - 12th
2029 - 10th
not much more to say about them
Patched up to 8.0.2 which meant the spanish registration bug has gone, so I went back to spain
2030 onwards Malaga (Spanish Primera)
Currently enjoying Spain
completed 1 season
2030/31 - Finished 7th in the league and qualified for the UEFA cup.
