Chacarita Juniors - Board wanted either promotion or winning the league, which seemed do-able with the squad I had. Signed an Argentine scout who had knowledge of pretty much the whole of South America. Media thought I would finish 3rd (out of 20), but it all went wrong as soon as I appointed a new captain. It turns out the old captain had lots of friends at the club, and the players turned against me. Seven games into the season, we lay in 17th place. But finally, my scout gave me a new player, a 17 year old striker, so I snapped him up quick. He then scores 11 goals in 8 games. We climb up the table and end up 2nd on the last day. Getting promotion on goal difference.
Pre-season
The bookies seem less optimistic this season, and think we will finish 7th. After only signing one player last season, and winning promotion, I'm shocked to see I have no transfer money this season. So I ask for more and am duly sacked. Strange.
After a few weeks in umemployment, I accept a job in the Portuguese Second Division Group A with Portosantense, where every other player is on the transfer list due to lack of money.....
