Hi there, I want to run some tests on FM08 and in order to do that I would like to create a new nation, however I'm not sure how to go about it. I have heard of needing to use re-gens - no idea what that is please help! How do I edit the colours etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I think the easiest way would be to replace an existing nation with your new one, and just change everything you want to in the editor, it should be fairly clear what most things are, and for thing lik reputaton/league standard etc, it's best just to check what its like for other countries of a similar standard to the one you want to create.
It would probably be best to keep it in the continent the original continent it was in to begin with, to avoid messing up competitions it's involved in.
I'm not sure why they say you need to use regens, these should be created automatically. Perhaps what they meant was to be sure to create (or leave in) at least one cub in your nation so that there is somewhere for the regens (future players generated by the game) to go to.
thanks nick - but I heard that you need to change the regens so that they appear under your new country, otherwise there would be an error when new regens were to be created?
I've had a look in the editor, and can't find any way to change the regens.
I think it should work automatically, but it may be worth running a quick test once you've started etiting, and holiday for a year, just to make sure it does work.
