I know in 2007 there were probably too many board takers. What I would like to know is, is there any board takeover in the 2008 game? Im halfway into my second season and I havent seen one yet?

yea, I've been taking over a couple of times.

For AI clubs, they are pretty hard to spot. They don't go into your inbox anymore, so it's easy to miss when a club takeover has occured. I've not experienced a takeover in Fm08 yet though.

I'm currently managing Excelsior Rotterdam, in FM2008.

Made it from a relegation candidate into a European Challenger in 3 seasons, with more then 250M pounds in the bank.

In the 4th season, the board was taken over, and the new chairman injected 150M pounds (not necessary, but who am I to complain), and almost got sacked! Luckily, in the last weeks of the season (first weeks of the new board), I went on a 12 game winning streak, winning the Dutch Cup, the Dutch Premier League, and the Champions League! Got a new contract as a reward.

Both the chairman and me are still loving each other after another 3 seasons!

I'm half-way through my second season with Leeds. Just got taken over after Bates sold out. The incoming consortium released comments in the press about replacing me with Alan frickin Pardew. However, the new chairman then sent a personal message saying he;d be prepared to give me a chance to prove myself. After 4 games (2 wins, 2 draws), he decided to keep me on (despite being 23rd in the Chmapionship!!). Pressure's now on to perform a minor miracle and avoid relegation.
