Tried everything. Praising him, offering him the best contracts money can buy, but he wants to play a higher level of football. Is there ANYTHING I haven't tried? And don't say getting promoted .

Any other ideas how to hold onto a top player!? Post #2
he doesnt have any mates - spends all his time playing pokemon on his gameboy and talking in a made up language.
no seriously, i bought him when he was 19 from feyenoord so he doesnt really have any connections. he is 'happy that Stern John has joined the club' though.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will double check his profile.

Well I was in League One when he said it, I'm now in Champ and he's still saying it, I'm guessing he wants PREM football, not sure he's good enough to get first team football in PREM though.

In my experience there isn't anything you can do, other than get promoted. How long is his contract, if you think there is a relaistic chance of you getting promoted before it runs out then don't worry about it, i've had players wanting to move before but they still perform well. If it runs out before you think you can get promoted try and get as much cash as you can.

He has no contract now. He is still at my club but (luckily, in a way) he has been injured so no clubs have come in for him as of yet. Only a matter of time.
