I'd guess that means if any major problems come up that they haven't seen before, they might ammend them in the patch. For all the beta testing and checking, you can't get everything imo.

i figure it's two-fold, first off hold off the time -consuming task of compiling patches until it's ensured there aren't any other significant bugs that need to be addressed. Secondly work out whether the community is satisfied with the work around solution to the bugs (i'm satisfied) and only release a new patch if required.

Are they going to announce at some point whether there is going to be an official 'fixed' patch or are we going to be left hanging without knowing.
It's just that I recall something similar happening before and different people were playing with different version numbers of patches as nothing had officially been announced.
