Hello fellow, Football Manager fans.

To explain, I am playing FM2008, using the 8.0.2 Patch. I started the game unemployed, with the default experiance.

Got the job with Stafford Rangers as they offered. Loaded more databases than normally, pc ran slightly slower than before. But it was running smoothly afterwards.

After a while I checked out the reserve fixtures for the reserve team and the under 18's.

As I took over there are no leagues that they're in, friendly leagues that is. So randomly I select a friendly for them to play in, when I remember to that is .

Well I have a question for you to answer. If I may be so blunt.

I've set it to assistant manager from the in game options(Well from now on, but nothing has changed).

To arrange these friendlies, so does he do nothing because at the start of the season, you elect to continue on with the reserve leagues? As I wasn't there I'm unaware, should of checked though.

Or am I very much mistaken and he arranges the pre season friendlies only?

As I tinker ever so now and then, get the odd interruption. Where I forget to perform a tweakage, when sods law is I should of remebered from the time I forgot to before.

The assistant only arranges pre season friendlies.

And at the start of every season, you get an offer to enter your reserves and u-18 teams to their respective leagues.

Ah bugger, thanks Trillkott.

Not complaining/whinging. A few more options to tick for a while. Its fun to see who/if you can sign by playing against random teams, could find some future stars this way.

Going to be a tedious task all the same, though.
