Default Doubts about FM 2008

I don't know what you think about this but this is really the first time that I am dissapointed in Football Manager.

I have bought all versions since the early years of Championship Manager but this is the first time that I have the feeling that the game has not improved (even after 8.02 patch).

1. Skin/playability in 2007 was better
2. Watching matches in FM 2007 was much more exciting and better adapted to tactics/player abilities. For instance tactics focussed on wing play and centers to a Target men or a Target man deviating a long pass to a quick striker.
3. Team Talks are in my opinion (but this is subjective of course) an unneccessary (rather ennoying) function. They should be much more limited or just be a parameter that is determined by the quality of the assistant manager;
4. Steam of news-flashes was better balanced and more informative in FM 2007.

As a fan of the game, I don't want to be destructive but I really hope that SI will go back to FM 2007 and try to improve this version for FM 2009.

Skin doesn't matter in the slightest. It can be replaced very easily.

07 patched up has been one of the best ME. However, I hated the fact that after a while your tactic would become unusable.

??? The major problem is that they are very limited. There is little variation to them. I tried FIFA Manager 08 today and the team talk are much better in the game. It's similar but it seemed a bit more personal. Team talks are in need of some improvement.

Totally agree. The split news is not so good. It makes you feel totally seperated from the football world. Not that you ever really get connected to it even in FM07.
