Whats the longest anyone has had a player injured?

Just curious as I now have C.Ronaldo out for 5-7 months with a broken leg (lower). Gutted!!

As long as rooney is fit then i should be alright. Fingers crossed.

I've had some one retire with an injury (cant remember who or with what tho)

A good few years ago (CM 96 or sumin like that) Michael Owen retired with injuries right after i had bought him, but this was before he had become a goal scoring machine in rl.

Got someone out right now for "between 4 and 8 months with damaged cruciate ligaments"

my mate had a player, that was out for 2-3 weeks, but a season later he was still out for those 2-3 weeks. He never got over his slight injury, and was never played again.

I tried signing Trabelsi(sp?) on a free but I lost him out to some other team.

1 day later..

Trabelsi out for 8-9 months with damaged ligaments.

I was going to go in for a young prospect until i clocked on his profile and saw he was out for 10 months with damaged cruciate ligaments.

Has anyone ever seen a player with a spinal injury or a skull fracture? They're in the game, but are apparently very rare, and both could potentially cause a player to retire! (according to the editor).

I had Gianluigi Lentini out for 18 months due to a car crash on CM Italia many years ago (although this was reflective of real life and he was already injured at the start of every new game, so does this count?)

I have had 8-9 months in recent versions, but yes in previous if a injury was bad enough the player would retire (didn't happen a ton though)
