Heya all i have had a problem adding pictures into the game and wondered if anybody could help me solve this problem. I have followed Alan A Wadge's guide to adding pictures to the game carefully all my pictures are 95*95 with a 1px border round them and are png files. Now when i go to the person who i added a picture for the picture is black and white and disstored and with sometimes i cannot see the pic at all just fuzz and lines. Screenshot to be posted soon.
Yeh i've had the same problem mate and i can see loads of people on here have too! i've downloaded a trial of photoshop cs and it works on there but the trial will run out soon! as far as i know its to do with the picture being 32-bit, it has to be made 32-bit to work right, and when you make your pic 99% opacity that creates a new colour channel and makes it 32-bit when you save as PNG. Now this works for me on my photoshop cs trial and on photoshop 6 at work, but not on my own photoshop 5.5! no-one on here can seem to offer any help on this, and obviously i'm not the only one who's stumped! can anyone else help?
your gonna love me, i only recently found the answer and am ecstatic, its pretty simple, go to ANY editer and sae it as a jpg (jpeg), for some reason many people have this problem with a PNG file even though it is recommended but if u have a jpeg file then it will work for sure!

Im afraid i dont love you as i have allready used jpegs but you lose a lot of quality so i prefer to use png files and i cant afford photoshop cs and beacuse i am on dialup it would take me years to download the trial version. By the way thanks Ter for the info.
