Your stupid file has stuffed up my game. It was good, but it ran to slow, so i deleted everything (rar file ddt, folder) and now whenever I start a new game it's still thgere.

When i go to preferences the heading for the ddt is there but no box or anything. Now I have to reinstall. Thanks for nothing.

lol it worked for me the 1st time i got rid of it. pity though it makes the game so bloody slow.

Now after deleting the file, and before that deleting the contents of the file and its RAR file, you'd think it'd go wouldn't you. Nope. This dam file has stuffed up my FM, and I am ****ed.

Now after uninstalling and installing the game again you'd think it'd work. Nope. It has screwed up my version of FM. What is wrong?!?!?!

It doesnt have anything what so ever to do with a RAR file, do you actually know what you are doing, because it sounds like you havesomething else on your system? It is a glorified wordpad file thats all it is, and sits in the FM2005/data/db folder, all you need to do is untick it on your preference screen at the start of the game and it wont load. You dont need to uninstall your game to not use it, just untick.

It doesnt slow the game down that much at all, I have a P4 1.4ghz 512Rdram system, yet I can do a whole season with normal database with 9 countries and 15 leagues whilst watching key moments in a gme in 8hours.

Sounds like you have a badly set up system, so instead of giving me crap for your lack of PC knowledge, learn to find out how to config your hardrive and what is running in the back ground!

I tryed unticking it and then i click confirm, and I click on preferences and its ticked again.

I'm sorry, I'm just a little annoyed my game is still loading it.

What do you suggest I do to get rid of it?

in redman's defense this file also slows down my pc and yes I do know alot about pc's. I think this file does more harm to your saved game that it is worth.

and yes my pc is better than average. 256mb ram and celeron 2200 and only have 1 league on spl. and when i used that file it was soooooooooooooo slow, kind of like celtics defense this season LOL

Yeah I agree, I even took about 50 teams out but the time to start a new game has increased by 3/4 minutes and the running of the game is much slower.

MajorRaver: any chance of re-releasing with the teams grouped by country? That way, we can delete teams we're not interested in and it will speed up our games.
