Hi guys.

Transfer fee should be set to 0 to make sure they go through, wages should at times be estimated especially for high reputation players as the new wages might spiral out of control. And transfers shoud be set ideally to somewhere around 15 /6 / 2005, to make sure that teams are aware of these new players for the new season and don't buy players they will not need. Years of the contract is often stated and easy to implement.

-1 for transfer value is very problematic, tranfers will likely not go through, transfers will be out of proportion, and clubs will spiral into debt, etc...

I used future transfers and transfer fees at first but it became (at least in my opinion) pretty boring to have a season with just a lot of future transfers, and concerning the price I have put it at 0 because when i used the real transfer fee many clubs couldn't really afford it but they still bought the players and had big depts, an example is hamburg who bought van der Vaart among others this summer but when using the real transfer fees they fell in debt and I could buy van der Vaart for £300 000. It also became pretty boring to take over a club who had bought a useless player in the game but great IRL for a lot of money since you wouldn't have any money to play with.

If you want the transfers to take place in the summer of 2005 just replace 2004 with, it don't take more than a few minutes.

It was a matter of choice not a miss from my side to set the transfers to take place in 2004 and the fees to be 0.

I agree with you an all points except for the 2004 2005 thing. This is the reason I thought we'd all just post everything here, and then say every week we could all post our latest new transfers so that everyone could update their .edt when and how they wanted to. That was my initial thought.

This would first of all mean that the thread would always be on the first page and easy to find.

Second, others would see the benefit and hopefully start to contribute, thus the thing would be an ever growing collection of future transfers.
I personally still think it should be future transfers, but as Johan says this is something that everyone can change to their liking in a matter of seconds with the "find" "replace" function in notepad...

For instance I would always use "15 6 2005 0 -1 -1", Johan might use "1 7 2004 0 -1 -1", someone else a specific date and a specific transfer fee. which I think distorts th game too much, etc...

The only thing we really need is "name" "club" "club"

But most importantly we could all benefit and start each game with enormously uptodate transfers almost day to day...

What do you say guys ?

I've been putting inthe actual dates of the moves. Change all these to 2004 and they will be done for the start of the game. Just got July transfers to go, and Will then be complete.
I'll do whatever anyone else wants to do!

I've not been keeping to exact dates rater picked one for all 15.6.2005. However, these are small things and like I wrote above everyone can change things to how they want it in their particular game, that was orignial reason for doing this in this way.

So are you guys ready to post, I was thinking of starting a new game tonight, it would be nice to have all of everyone's info. !?

Ok guys, it's taken a while but I've gotten myself uptodate with my transfers. Of course tomorrow there will be new ones !

What I suggest is that we keep this thread for discussion, issues, queries, and such.

I'm going to post my stuff in a new thread right now.

For the sake of simplicity I was thinking of calling it "Update EDT File!!!"

You guys can follow me in that thread and post your stuff. Once everyone has posted all their stuff in there we should all (of course only those who want to keep this up) post again when we reach a certain number of new transfers so as to not clog up the page with one or two transfers at a time.

I suggest 20 or 30 or so, or we just post once a week or something ? What do you guys think ?
