What to tell players before a big match

Hi

I'm playing with Brann (Norwegian prem league) and I've managed to qualify them for the champions league group stage.

I don't expect to get through the group stages since this team is not good enough.

The next game is away at AC Milan, and I expect a good spanking. What is the best team talk to use?

Wish luck..., The pressure is off, do it for the supporters?

I can't see us winning this game, but the players need some nice words before the game.

Well, usually I want say you can win this game.....but it mightn't be as good when they clearly have no chance.....I think next option would be the pressure of, enjoy the game

cou8ld try bigging up the Milan manager before match , making him think your an alright guy we will go easy on them. You might nick a draw.

Just an idea and wish the players luck... there gonna need it

I'd say wish them luck.

"pressure is off" might mean you don't really care about the result or that you're guaranteed a win, I think. Heh.

And I've never had a good result with the "supporters" option

i,m getting a little annoyed by teamtalk reactions now, was just wondering if any one as a link or knows the best ones to use or even better what everry one means like a definition of each one.

Dont say thet they could win it if they clearly are major underdogs, so just wish them luck- altho this has been likened to the last speech of General Custer!

this is what i do for mine;

pressure off - friendly games
i expect a win - common games that you expect a win
you can win tonight - against bigger teams that you expect a loss
for the fans! - im not sure about this, but i use this more often than the "you can win tonight" against bigger teams when at Home or Neutral
wish them luck - everytime i select this, they just lose the game. i find that this is the most negative teamtalk out of the 5 for me

This is what I do

Pressue is Off - Same as Alantas, Friendly games. I also use it if I have group games in the CL which are meaningless.

I expect a win - When playing in Cup games against lower league opposition.

You can win tonight - Away games

For the fans - Cup matches on neutral grounds and all home games. seeing as you have most fans at home it makes sense

Wish them luck - Never use it. You make your own luck tbh.
