the main problem is being hit on the counter atttack. i spend huge chunks of the matches bombarding the opposing goal but i end up getting caught out

Higher CD for the DCs. D-line 4? from the pic, so CD 16. Drop by two for FBs and DMC. Low for everybody else. Tight zonal mark with back four, loose zonal the rest. Maybe dropping mentality a little would also help.

What wwfan said - might help to reduce tempo a bit too. This could be one of the reasons why you get counter-attacks against you. High tempo=risk of loosing ball.

Doesn't SI's in-game hints and tips suggest aligning tempo and passing style? (I.e., slow tempo, short passing; quick tempo, direct passing?) Or is that something guys came up with in the TT&F 07 thread?
