It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Strikers? Who needs strikers?

I've not posted in here before, so please correct me if i'm doing it all wrong, but i'm very proud of my current tactic and wanted somewhere to share it.

I'm currntly playing as NAC Breda in the Dutch Premier, and am playing an attacking 4-6-0 formation.

I think my interweb cut out, and posted about half my thread.
Much appologies. This shoud read:

I've not posted in here before, so please correct me if i'm doing it all wrong, but i'm very proud of my current tactic and wanted somewhere to share it.

I'm currntly playing as NAC Breda in the Dutch Premier, and am playing an attacking 4-6-0 formation.

My back line is as with a standard 4-4-2 formation.

I have 3 MCs, two with forward arrows to AMCs

I have an AMC, AML and AMR all with orward arrows to FCs.

I play fast and attacking football.

If I'm playing a team with young, inexperienced MCs, I set individual instructions for pressing always and tackling hard.

It seems to be working, as I am dominating the midfield, as it is so packed, and when i go forward, it is very difficult for my players to get picked up or marked, as they are coming in from deep, and i will get at least 5 players into very threatening positions very quickly.

It's doing great so far, I have taken my predicted relegation battlers to 5th at xmas, and we are top scorers in the dutch league.

My question, o tactics and training gurus, is this.

Is what i'm doing remotely sensile and logical, or have I just been lucky and it is soon to fall to pieces around me?

Your input is appreciated, and i'm sorry about the mess i've made of posting this.

How dos it behave when you play against teams with 1 or 2 dmc's? Or against 3-3-2-1-1 teams? Doesnt that area of the pitch get really crowded?

Possibly duet to my poor media prediction, most of the teams i've been playing against have been using fairly attacking or neutral formations. The only times i have played against DMC reliant teams, they have been using no width, so it's not been much of an issue. I have notice some severe bunching of about 10 players at i time trying to play/beat the offside trap!

On unintended (happy) consequence of this system is that when i'm defending a corner, it's my AML and AMR who stay up. They're tightly marked, of course, but as they stand more or less where the touchline meets the halfway line, this leaves a massive hole in their defence for counter attacking with, as their two defenders are miles away from where the action is likely to be.

Seems odd...it means their centre backs are marking space unless they're set to man mark the most advanced of the AMCs...
I'll look into this, I am intrigued.

it is more than remotely sensible/logical

Roma have been playing the best football in Europe the past 2 seasons without any strikers
