I was wondering if anyone could clear up the connection between team instructions and individual. Say for instance I set my team instructions to ultra defensive, however meanwhile I also set an individual mentality for one defender thats very attacking. Will this defender then only follow his individual setting or will he take both into account? So instead of being just highly attacking he's only attacking within what his team-setting allows him to. Hope this makes sense

The team one acts more as a base, for where the team will sit as a whole.

True to an extent, but they still effect how your team plays.

If you choose to give all 11 players individual instructions then the team option is not used apart from set piece and captains etc.- as Cleon says though if you have say 7 players with attacking instructions to 3 without, then they will play attackingly and so on.

If U use a defensive team mentality, you will notice more balls passed backwards and so on, regardless of what individual instructions you use.
