It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default My 4-2-3-1 tactic

Hello,

For the first time in my CM/FM career I´ve created a superb tactic. Well, atleast I think it´s superb.

The formation is 4-2-3-1 and it uses good attacking midfielders and strong defensive midfielders. With this tactic (no bragging intended) I won the double with Tampere United in Finland and I´ve progressed through Inter Toto Cup to the secind knock out round in the UEFA Cup.

I haven´t had the time to test this tactic with any other teams, but I´m hoping you guys could try it and tell me if it´s working for you. You can also give suggestions about making this tactic even better.

You can get the tactic here.

Well it looks nice and balanced and the team instructions make sense so i'll give it a whirl in my bolton game, one question though, what characteristics are best suited for the lone striker

Well, a fast and strong striker seems to do the job quite well. My starting striker isn´t very technical, but he has fairly good pace and good stamina and strength.

Can't get on with this mate, it seems very inconsistent at home, one match i beat Arsenal 4-1 following match with same 11 i lose 3-0 at home to Watford. Also not dominating home matches at all, most home matches possesion and shots are even at best and the opposition normally look the better team on the highlights.

Away from home results were absolutely abysmal conceding an average of 3.5 goals per game and although possesion was even in most matches the shot count was heavily in favour of the other team and had my keeper to thank for keeping the score down.

I gave it 15 matches so had chance to bed in but only won 4 of those games and one of those was against Bristol City in the League Cup
