I always let in loads of goals this way too. However, in the past couple of games I appear to have at least reduced the amount.
I've kept the defensive line the same (one less than push up), but actually reduced the closing down of my fullbacks who were getting pulled out of position, leaving the centre backs pulled out to cover them and leaving holes. Then I reduced the mentality of my side midfielders, increased their closing down and stopped any of my side players running (setting forward runs to rarely). Won my last two games 3-2 and 4-1. Yep, all goals due to crosses, yet once I implimented the changes it was easier to deal with.
No doubt, like all my other changes, it will only last 5 minutes then it'll be back to the drawing board.
