when you have a team very low on moral? do you look to play a more defensive game than usual?

Hi ROO,
Funny you should mention morale as I was just going to write about that in my next update.
I lost away in the FA trophy to Exeter 2-1. This didn't appear to affect the morale too much although a few players, were now very good rather than superb. I then had to play Sutton as posted previously. Having lost 2-1 at home the morale droped a bit lower again.
Now the next game was vs Havent away in the FA Trophy. Having played them at home first game of the season 0-0 I was suprised to see them play a shorter possession game this time.
I went 2-0 down before uping the temp and playing more direct coming back to win 4-2, thanks to a marvellous hatrick from Che Stadhart my top scorer.
Looking at the match stats, Havent had13 shots, 8 on target. I had 7 shots 4 on target. Possesion was 50-50. My players had 7's or 8's and a 9 for Che, except my CB's who both had 5's.
I think this was mainly due to playing games in quick sucession and having not gotten the results a drop in team morale. I went on to draw the next 2 games 1-1 and then lost 2-1 to Hayes. I managed to scrape a 1-0 other East Thurrock away in the Trophy and decided it was time to review the way I was playing.
I went through each players individual instructions looking to see if there was anything amiss. I basically followed the tips from Marc Vaughan for player settings and set the back 4 + keeper to Mentality 5. The rest of the team would play with team mentality and team creative freedom was set to 5.
The result Welling 8-1 vs Lewes. I had 12 shots 9 on target. Lewes had 3, one on target.
So far in my season

Anyway back to the point, If morale drops then it is important to know who are the most reliable players in your team. You can tell this by looking at form and I usually go on average rating. Also try to pick your more experienced players they are the once that should give you an increase in form. You could also look for determination as a good indicator.
I would try not to pick a player with morale below any lower than 'Okay' although this may not be possible.
