Reading about the success you had with a basically unchanged 442 tactic, i thought i would give it a shot. Seeing as my team struggles to fit many formations. I myself am very happy with the results, and more importantly to me, teh way they are playing. You are right, they attack and defend as one and possesion is good and when the opposition have the ball they are contained. And what i think is more impressive is the fact that i am a team destined for relegation and barely any money to change things.

After testing it for myself, i will say that you are right and that a smiple 442 does work, simply by keeping it simple. As for it being great, youve got to have the right players dont you, so it might never be great for someone else. Although, i suppose i could get a couple of superstars to fit into my formation witrhout making it too complicated.
