Prophecy

I want to do a rising sun effect.

Best way to make the rising son? I tried using the shape tool but when I go to use filters and modify it I get an error saying layer is not directly layerable.

Can anyone point me to a good tutorial for a good rising sun?

Try a radial gradient.Pick a gradient that goes from very very light yellow through to outer orange and use the radial gradient tool,mabe add a little noise as well.Or use the clouds filter and modify a fire tute
