I am Cardiff and have 20 million to spend on my 3rd season in the Premiership on original patch. I have just signed Breno and want another class centre back to partner him as I was leaking goals last season, my only good centre back was Danny Shittu.
After searching for players I have 1 of the following centre backs to choose from who will join me:
Curtis Davies - 11 million
Martin Skrtel - 10 million
Waldo Ponce - 5.5 million
Gabriel Tamas - 8 million
I am tempted to get Davies because he has a very high concentration level and he's pacey, or is there someone better out there?
I also need a left back as my first choice left back Herman Hreidarsson is getting old now, I tried getting Marseille's Taiwo for 13.5 million but he won't join me, so i've just put in a bid for Aurelio. Any other suggestions?
i usually go for Andrea Coda, Anthony Vanden Borre, Matias Cahais, Steven Thicot, Michael Rigione, Rafael Forster, Sidnei? all good defenders for when i play with West Brom, Watford or any other championship side. i won the prem with a back 4 of

oh but out of the ones you suggested i would have davies stat wise never signed him though only ever had skrtel and he was amazing for my watford side got him 1st season in championship though
IRL, Skrtel looks like a complete waste of space tbh(if you can't defend against Havant, how do you defend against Chelsea?). However, in the game he appears to be quite good. However, he is pricey.
Curtis Davies is good, and may or may not make it to the England team, depending on his progress.
Tamas is another good one, i strongly recommend him.
