just starting a new season
i have taken a polish feeder and started signing young brazilians and sending them to poland

i did this before prepatch and lost lots of money as their contracts ran out while still short of time for a polish passport and the game wouldnt let me renew the contract, every time i did and they failed to get a permit it cancelled the contract.

does anyone know if this is fixed before i waste a few years and lose a few stars?

Because it isn't a bug! They can't get a WP so you can't offer a contract.

They may not end up applying for a Polish passport anyway even if they have lived there long enough, and may not be good enough players to gain a WP in the UK.

They should apply for a Polish passport though, as that's obviously the reason they get sent there in the first place.

Not being able to extend their contract isn't a bug though, like mije said. Can't remember the exact details, but there is some legal thing that they can sign an original contract but can't sign another without gaining a work permit or having an EU passport.

thanks for the answer. Have you any backup for that or can anyone else confirm that thats the case. Not saying its wrong but it seems strange, and also when various posters mentioned this "bug" prepatch, no one said that that was the law. Maybe it is but would like confirmation either way.

Erm, to answer your question! You asked why you couldn't offer them a new contract and I told you. Don't see what your problem is to be honest. Just because a person is eligible to apply for a foreign passport, it doesn't mean they have to.

It's the same as my current Spurs game. I'm trying to offload Zokora (from Ivory Coast for those who don't know), but no British club wants him because they don't believe he will get a WP. He played in Belgium for long enough to get a Belgian passport but he obviously doesn't want to apply for it.
