These tactics are used all the time in the real world, why not in FM ?

I've not experienced the problem of Vida scoring too many goals, unfortunately. How do I manage this ?

I posted the trick a bit furhter up the page. well, that's what I use anyway and now I score loads with it.

This bug's only a problem if the AI exploits it, which it doesn't seem to. The user can easily choose not to exploit it.

Feck that ! I'll carry on as I have been, it's not like I'm not winning anything anyway. And Vida scores as much in FM as he does in actuality, so I'm happy enough.

All my goals are being scored by a young chap called Toto Tamuz. :thup:

(And Rooney, Ronnie, Hargs, Carrick and Carlos of course. Saha )

I have noticed this as well if you put the corner taker to deliver in 6 yard box and the best header of the ball at challenge goalkeeper in my case Vidic he has scored 4 goals in 5 games.

and to suggest that we are cheating by using tactics that real managers use is quite bizzare tbh

I just thought that you could help others by submitting this. It isn't something I can replicate myself (despite trying because I'd like this many goals myself), but since you could, perhaps you could help.

If you are not inclined to do this and would rather spend your time getting on Miles' back and then responding like this to me ..... fine.

this is not a defender scoring bug try putting a forward with similar strengths to see if he scores as much.you wont be moaning if your forward scores 20 goals a season from corners.

Joor, ty i know you are tryin to help. but your solution is not good either. i want to use near post and challenge GK options. when you watchin real football, of course there is 1 player on first post. what if next bug would be wingers dont assist at all? then ill have to play without wings?
im 442 freak i love wings. thats not solution. ( actually, i think few years ago there was version where wings did no good at all. hated that version).

this would prob be my last post for few months. just to prove that not here to argue. because i know i cant change things. as i said few times, FM 07 was great. and my salute to SI with that game.
but what they done this year is very arcade style game, unrealistic match engine. i dont care if game has some minor bugs, like wrong and funny player of the year awards. i dont care for that. but i do care for good match engine. and Zombie tranformation DC into scoring players is not fun at all. maybe this was planned to be game for 12 year old child.

so for this version i can say great job marketing team SI. you sold to us game that claim its realistic foot sim.

people from SI say that we would acuse them for Titanic sinking. ill say just 1 thing. we have costumers rights to acuse u. im pretty sure SI earns great money. they are rich, driving great cars etc. fine by me. i have great job 2. but when people have 2 much money, they become too lazy. they employ other people to think for them. and obviously those other people didnt done job right.

lets just say, we " who acuse SI for everthing" dont buy game next year game. and i hope there would be at least 30% of us who will not buy next year game, and try maybe some other games. maybe then, SI would start to listen again. noone on this earth is ultimate hero. many good companies went down to bankrupt when they start to make wrong moves. when ego was to high, when they thought they are untouchable. so SI, you was best company for 15 years in menager games. but you had also many mistakes in last 5-6 years. maybe 2 many.

i will not buy next version, even if i read its best ever. that would be first time in 15 years. ill even try from all my " small man powers" to tell all people i can, that this is good idea. maybe then youll start to work really serious, for love, not money. if i am on your place, i would spend 2 years to make really masterpiece. with great regens, with totally new amazin match engine, far better network games, good tranning options, better AI in general, finally some good media interaction. with 500 more choises to make. like rpg game, just in football world etc. there are at least 20 more good reasons to dont make new "buggy but we give few small improvments" FM09. and you can just give new player database for next year.

just think about that. did you forget why you start this game 15 or more years ago? because you wanted something new. thats why.

You tell me what to do, inclining I can't think for myself, so I tell you to get off my back. It's pretty simple really.

Also, Miles made a statement in here that scoring lots of corners means you're exploiting the match engine and therefore cheating. Arguing with that is hardly what I call getting on someones back.

And stop whining ffs, this is an internet forum. You don't know me so you really shouldn't react as if your mother just told you to stick your head up your own arse.
