Your players who's stats have been savaged in 8.02?
Patch 8.02! Ahem!
I'm still smarting from losing my second game in a row for the first time in FM 2008. Lose away to Derby after 19 shots on goal they had 2 and beat me 1-0 with a ridiculous own goal from a corner!
Anyway as mad as I am at non moving goalkeepers and opposition 35 yarders going in after 35 seconds on the clock it's these massive attribute drops I am experiencing in a saved game that really miffs me off.
It takes me 3 seasons to assemble a decent squad and tactics and with one swipe from a new patch it destroys me! Ignashevic, Anton Ferdinand, Zapata, Giles Barnes, Dyer, Ljungberg, Petrov, Defoe and the most annoying of all Jimmy Briand.... What is the point of across the board 7 star training if the patch just undoes all the good work? Why SI? Why?
I mean I assumed a patch was meant to put right what was wrong not destroy what was fine?! The old saying goes "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
Yes, there was a problem with shots to goal ratio in 8.01 but tinker with it don't make goalkeepers rooted to the spot and opposition midfielders wallop them in from 35 yards all the time. A tinker here and there would mean out old tactics would still work rather than spend the next two weeks creating new ones.
Ok, central midfielders only got ratings of 6 but why correct that if you are going to make our central defenders get ratings of 6 as well?
Wish I hadn't downloaded the patch now, All I was hoping was to get an improved match engine not a total destruction of my game!
What players has the patch destroyed for you?

So you were happy that your players were unrealistically good in the previous patch?
There's a surprise.
I don't think Ferdinand, Barnes, Dyer, Ljungberg, Petrov and Defoe were unrealistically good, they did a job. Ok, Briand maybe but you needed a top class striker to get past the superkeepers!
Anyway, that's not the point. If these players were "unrealistically good" in the previous patch why were they? Someone clearly not researching properly or just plain lazy?

Ok Ackter thanks.. Have read and understand although it is frustrating because I get the impression that most weren't concerned about above high stats but were about other areas.

People rarely are concerned when a bug helps them - same as the goals from corners problem. Most people are happy just to show off how much their defenders are scoring, rather than getting upset that it's unrealistic.
