I use Windows Vista and keep getting an error message when trying to install 8.0.2.

'Error creating update file - CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008\data editor.exe

Error 0x00000020 - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.'

This is so frustrating, I don't even know what this means. I have the Digital Download WSM08 using Vista. Anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

I've tried restarting my computer many times before/after download, etc. Re-downloaded.... Don't know what to do.

Are you downloading the right version of 8.0.2 for the DD WSM?

Have a look through the various threads that have been posted since the patch came out with titles about difficulty installing.

Off the top of my head I think two possible solutions were:-

1.Turn off all antivirus related programs while installing

2.delete your existing dataeditor.exe before instlling the patch

Check you task manager and make sure that the FM Editor isn't on the processes list.

Thank you for the help guys. It turns out it was my Spy Sweeper that was the problem.

I have it sorted now, thanks again.
