I wonder if anyone can help me out.....

I've been trying to incorporate some old CM logos into the game to spare me from the tiresome task of downloading new and possibly inferior sets all over again.

I've used the xml editor to create an xml file which has at least brought some kind of image up on screen but it's a very greyed-out, feint version of the logo.....no amount of re-sizing or playing around with image definition has made any difference.....

I don't know what else to do.....

I would therefore really appreciate a simple, guide for conversion that doesn't assume any editing knowledge on my part ! It's a miracle I've got this far !

This is actually quite frustrating as I have all these old logos that should work but don't........

I'm not using old logos or old player pictures. But I do understand your frustration. I have a whole bunch of player pictures which I'm pretty sure can be used.
So I go about putting the pictures in the appropriate directories, then I use fmXML to set the config.xml file, and still I don't see the pictures in the players' profiles.
I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing. I'm just wondering whether there are any specifics about the pictures that we should know about other than that they should be 50 x 50.
Most of these pictures I used were downloaded as packs which include their own config.xml files... Yet they still do not work for me...

at first it worked well, but now when i create my own player pics, they turn out grey and ugly in the game. i think it has something to do with the bits. anyone know how to change 24 to 32 bits in photoshop/imageready?

I have similar problems, and even worse, I have some pics that show up correct sometimes but not all the time... Very hard to track those down.

Ter: What are ALL the specs in order for the file to be displayed correctly? It seems that colour depth and layer composition have soemthing to do with it, but how so and what else is important?

If you want you're image to load instead of SI's then all u have to do is simply replace SI's with your's after installation, then you won't get 2 imagines rotating, just make sure you've backed all your images up in a different folder somewhere for when you need to reinstall or anything, easy as that.

all you have to do is just put the players line underneath each other ie:

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> &lt;record from="FILENAME" to="graphics/pictures/person/PLAYERID/portrait"/&gt;&lt;record from="FILENAME2" to="graphics/pictures/person/PLAYERID2/portrait"/&gt;</pre>

do you get what i mean?

sorry for not respondig before ppl
