i my opinion background changes are needed in the game something which has been echoed on these forms nearly every week since the games came out. what i do not like to see is a group of one or two ass kissers attacking anyone who posts something which demands it. Yes there are other bugs but it is wanted by EVERYONE i spoke to about the game. In my opinion there are no background changes because it has been left out on purpose so we will all go out and by football manager 2006 (which we will anyway). as in my opinion there is not much further si can take the game (And if we do see it included in a patch it will be after the release of cm5)

Don't mean to be rude but as you say this is mentioned nearly every week and you guys get the same answer -- It isnt going to happen.

Enjoy the game and realise that background changes are purely astheatic and in no way affect the playability of the game.

And some of us actually like to kiss arse :eek:

I don't think people are going to rush out and buy Football Manager 2006 if it has the ability to change background images.

And we can take the game much much further

I agree Ter I think FM2005 is just the very beginning.

Its the only game I have ever been bothered to create something for (I have often wanted to make maps, skins etc for many other games) and now I cant stop

With your logic you could argue that having different skins for the game is also purely astheatic. Cause they don't directly effect the game's playability. (unless they don't work properly)

I reckon that the interface of the game is integral to its playability and the overall experience of playing the game. IMO, having background changes would add to the interface and add to the experience of playing FM. It would add more variety to the different screens throughout the game. It's pretty clear that I'm not the only one that feels this way - and if you don't like it you could always turn it off in the Preferences.

What I would like to know is will this feature be included in the next patch, in the next game, or not at all?

I have to say that I miss the background changes but then again there are quite a few things about the look of CM that I miss, but this doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the game especially with the improved integration of player pics and logos.

I look forward to the return of backgrounds but I'm not going to cry too much before they arrive...

Yes skins are astheatic but as you say the interface does affect your enjoyment of the game (i.e. skins that are easy on the eye)but the background is mostly obscured by the main interface anyway.

I am not getting on at people who want the background changes it just starts to grate a bit when people ask the same question regarding the backgrounds when a quick scan of the forum will come up with 20 other such topics all containing the same information

Hey I am in Taiwan at the moment, been here for 4 months from Scotland and am going home on Sunday (meaning FM2005 all day!!!).

I downloaded and emailed to myself 100MB of skins, graphics etc and it really makes a difference to FM.

But background changes? I dont really care, yeah they are nice but I can live without them, rather SI work on the patch and developing FM2006!
