I have mad a silly skinning mistake and as a reslt lost my "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. Now when it asks if I want to save etc I can't choose an option.

Can anyone tell me what to do to get it back othr than reinstall)?

You weren't editing the default xml files were you?

You should NEVER do that incase you make a mistake. You should always work on a 'new skin' and copy the xml files to that and edit them there.

If it's the defaults you've screwed up then your best bet is to reinstall.

It wasn't that. I copied a new skin (panels and graphics folder etc) directly into the relevant data\graphics and panels etc. Instead of into the skins folder. The skin works great, apart from the missing buttons.

I presume I have overwritten one of the config files with the one from the skin or something like that.

I just wondered if there was anyway I could just get it fixed (default graphics XML files or whatever) without re-installing because my game CD is at my parents house about 200 miles away and I was on a great run!

Even a keyboard shortcut to be able to select "OK" would do (I know escape will act like selecting "Cancel").

I almost got away without needing the buttons but then I picked an ineligible player and couldn't continue.

I have a no-cd crack to run the game without having the CD becuase I left the damn thing in Doncaster at Christmas (hence my problem now). I bought the game legitimatley, as I have done every other release!!

I was fairly sure I would have to get my CD back eventually but I was just hoping to get away with it for now.

I have certainly not aquired the game illegally. I love it too much to do that.

So is there nothing I can do other than wait?

it's 14.37 now, get your parents to post it first class and you'll have it tomorrow morning. pay an extra 80p and you can get it sent to you registered post.

BTW. I have edited a couple of players using the editor. When I reinstall will have to make the changes with the editor again to get my save game to work or will it be OK?

Even if you aquired the game legally, a no CD crack is illegal in itself.

I thought they were legal as long as you had the game (to save wear and tear on the CD) or for those times when you Mum has got your disc and you know she's secretly taking Doncaster Rovers into the Prem when your Dad's in bed!
