Can any of you recommend any good data updates, apart from patch 5.05 of course. I'm toying with the idea of doing one myself but I have 3 kids and time is not a commodity I have in abundance. So if there are any good ones already done, preferably fairly recent, I'd be very grateful to be pointed in the right direction.
Perhaps I didn't phrase my question correctly. I'd done a search and found several but really wanted to know the best by popular consensus before making my choice. Apologies.
I suppose I deserved that. In my defence, all I can say is I was arsed but not arsed enough. Repeated posts are annoying and I will try harder to avoid doing this.
One last question. I've read these updates can cause crashes. Is this avoidable by some obvious means? eg. starting a new game, a clean install of the game etc.
If this question is another one of those repeated, then close the topic and ignore me as I'm patently an fool who'll never learn.
Yes, some updates can cause crashes but generally, if ONLY updates are done (such as player transfers and team relegations and promotions) then there is very little risk of a crash. The problems creep in when folks try to do things like make super leagues and the like.
Your safest bet is to ALWAYS make a backup of your db. There is no need to back up your game as the db is the only thing imported with updates. Simply put your old db into a zip or folder and insert the new one in it's place.
This was if a crash occurs, you have your old db to fall back on and you won't be forced into a re-install or repair!
