It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Help with Position Training

Hi there love the game but need help with something. I have a player that is a AM/F C I am playing them in the midfield center making forward runs. When I click on there info for positions. Its says they are Natural sticker, Accomplished AMC. but for Midfield Center it says Awkward. Do I need to position train him for Midfield or will he become Natural after a while. Cant play him as astriker as have 2 better ones. But he would be great in midfield I think.

You will need to retrain him as an MC; but he may never reach "natural." If he becomes "accomplished" and he has the right attributes though, he'll do just fine.

How long does position training take to make them accomplished. Also is it ok to play them in that position while they are awkard or shall i wait till he is trained to do that role

Depends on the player, his motivation (morale, etc) and I believe the coach ability also plays a role in it.

You can, and should, play him in his new role to make him used to it. He won't perform the best, but I believe it will slightly speed up his training for that position.

I've read you could compensate by giving the player an arrow towards a position he's more confortable at, but not sure it works as well as advertised.

I think players have a hidden versatility attribute which may affect it too, but I'm not sure.

Apparently you can get a player's position to Natural eventually, but in most circumstances it doesn't happen due to age and hidden stats.

But essentially to train a player in a position it's best to play them in that position aswell. They can actually gain the position without specific training, and your midfielder-cum-forward probably got from ineffective to awkward by having played matches as MC.

I could be simply imagining things but I noticed that players can drop in positional ability (if it isn't at Natural) even if the database gives them that position from the start. That drop seems to be facilitated by training the player in a new position.
