The Plan
To test training in FM07.
The Method Take 4 teams:
1 from each professional English League (with various expectations & training ground status):
Premiership – Chelsea (Title Contenders, Excellent Facilities)
Championship – Hull (Mid-Table, Good Facilities)
League 1 – S****horpe (Mid-Table, Average Facilities)
League 2 – Chester (Relegation Candidates, Poor Facilities)
Play 2 seasons:
1st season – Leave training on default settings, Auto-assign coaches.
2nd season – Alter training to slightly more intensive & logical training regimes (defenders defending, strikers attacking & shooting etc) keeping total intensity at the last bar of Medium for overall training intensity (therefore still not overly aggressive), Auto-assign coaches.
No other changes were made to the teams, no player\staff changes, no changing formations….this is just a training test.

Training Results
In terms of stats & CA, there doesn't seem to be that much of a difference in the 2 regimes
Injuries
Amount - An average of 40% more injuries per season on the higher regime
Length - An average of over 183 days more that players are out as a whole for the season
Overall
I would say that it seems less is more in the trial I have done. There seems to be no benefits from training players harder other than more injuries. These were only basic tests & I’ll admit that, but if anyone is interested in the save games to look over things for themselves I have 3 (1 start, 1 at end of default training & 1 at end of heavier training) which I will upload if there’s enough interest.
For the time being though,
see this spreadsheet, which details individual players training improvements\injuries etc.
