Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Hopefully this is the most suitable section to post this thread.

Basically I want to congratulate SI on the use of tactics in FM2007. When I first started playing I wanted to throw my computer out the window as I couldn't win anything. But as I played the game more it became obvious that to be successful you have to analyse games and adapt your tactics. It took me a whole season to get to grips with the tactics but I'm now seeing what a great job SI have done.

There are loads of threads on the best tactics but IMO it's all about analaysing your team and creating personalised tactics in FM2007. I don't think you can just sit back and watch the victories flow in this version and opposition teams seem to make more of an effort to neutralise you. I made several tweaks here and there throughout the season and am now enjoying winning most of my games.

What does everyone else think about the tactics in this version? Oh and I'm managing Bournemouth in my game so it's a good challenge to perfect the tactics.

i agree, i noticed that you do need to alter your tactics to gain an advantage on your opponents, and to use different styles against different teams. Good job SI
