I'm in a similar situ with my MK Dons. Won League 2 & 1 in consecutive seasons. Now in 3rd season in the Championship. I didn't have alot of money to spend.
And my team is very weak compared to the other sides. I created a very successful 442 tactic for home. Only lost one game last season at home, and drew a couple. It is my away tactic that lets me down.
Im struggling mid table now.
I think you should try a Boltonesque style of play if you have slow players. They are mostly a slow team, and do very well to employ a longball.
So maybe a 4-5-1. Have Adebayor as a target man? You will probably only win 1-0 at best, but a win is a win.
Perhaps at home, be a little more adventurous and have 2 strikers, and have Adebayor as target man again, with Lupoli feeding off his knock downs?
Let me know what you go for. But I shouldn't think you would have problems scoring if you can create the chances. Adebayor is pretty good target man, and Lupoli is an excellent finisher, just need to get him in on goal.
Let me know what you decide to do, and if it works. Im off to work on my away tactic...again
