Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Different tactics home and away?

Just a quick question

Is it a good idea to play say, 4-4-2 at home and then switch to 4-5-1 for away games or is this going to lead to my players getting confused and playing like muppets?

It is a personal choice but most players will use a standard home tactic and a different tactic away from home. It doesnt have to be a different formation but perhaps the same one with more defensive settings.

Personally, I think it has a lot to do with how things are functioning in your current club. If your players are disciplined and they adhere to your tactical instructions (higher manager reputation helps) it shouldn't be much of a problem. I think it is a good idea to use formations to counter or enforce tactical plans...
