Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Rosenberg is infamous around these parts
Default Defending a lead

Some times my team give away a 2 or 3 goals lead.

I need some advice to deffend a lead

I play 4-4-2 rather attacking style

Mentallity individuel or team ?

Same metality for dr/dc/dc/dl and same mentality for mr/dmc/mc/ml combined with a narrow style and same level of creativity is that a way to create "wall" ?

Creative freedom - none team or individuel ?

Forward runs attacers only ?

Is their any connection between defensive line and closing down ?

How deep should the deffensive line be set ?

How narrow to narrow gives space for the AML/AMR to crosses my wingers closing them down ?

Time waste max ?

I play normally shortpassing style and slow. Should that be changed

So do I

2-0 up in 85th minute. I lose 3-2... very bad luck:

Own Goal
Debateable off side (I challenge it and FA stay silent)
Penalty

Lots of topic on forum wich discuss this type of problems. You should probable search litle more and you will finde answer. But in short term, you should make a formation and tactic wich is very defansive: no FRW for 6-7 players, no TTB for the most of the players, formation with 1 or 2 DM, high waste of time, counterattack tickt, no farows and so on. Def Line should not be to deep because you will be invating to much pressure. Litle higher than own area. CD should be on your half but not higher. Kepp formation narrow but not to narrow becaus the opponet will try to play with high wide. Change to this tactic when oppenent change to 4-2-4 or last 10 min. This is only short version of what you should do.

Rosenberg: Take a look at the new issue of "The Bootroom". The link is at the top of the page or on the general questions page.

In it, defending the last ten minutes, is discussed on page eleven. Failing that, look for Loversleaper's tactics set and some of the others available in the forums. Hope this helps.
