I'm either the unluckiest manager ever or there's a demon in my pc. Strengthened defence and midfield, but after 14 games

W2 D4 L8 F15 A27

and I'm in 23rd position.

I've used wwfan's tactics again, but something's not right somewhere. Surely gelling isn't causing all these problems?

It probably is, especially if you revamped the whole side. If you bring one or two new additions in, it takes around 10 games for them to settle. But if you bring 6 first team players into the squad, it can take a while longer.

Do you play a counter attacking game?

In fact could you post the set up you are currently using, that way I might be able to help you

I'd be very wary about using Balanced until you are very confident of your side's ability. To start with, try to win at home, to play on the break away. Balanced comes in very useful against much stronger teams at home or much weaker teams away, but until the mid-point in the season you won't be very sure as to who they are.

A lot of people using non 4-4-2 formations use balanced as a default, but I think it is risky with the 4-4-2. Hope that helps.
