Hello guys, i've devised a tactic that has now won me 13 games straight with liverpool, however i used this tactic abit late in the season, currently 3rd 9 points behind the leaders, Man U scum, anyways, i have every position perfect for my tem except Mascherano, contantly plays poor, i mean ranginf between 5 - 7 at most ,i need a DMC in this formation and his stats are brillant, has anyone utilised (sp) his ability, if so plz help, thanks
Try using a barrow on him if he starting position is around the CM mark. If this can't be done try having his individual settings to something like:
A ultra defensive mentality
Passing style - Short
Closing down - Own half (furthest notch)
Tackling - Mixed Or Hard
FR - Rarely
RWB - Rarely
LS - Rarely
Through balls - Mixed
Cross ball - Rarely
Marking - Zonal

Just have a mess around, and make tweaks. Personelly what cured low DM settings was using the Barrow, because he starts of in a CM position for my tactic.
Also take a look at the indivual stats after a game and check he is making interceptions, winning tackles and completing alot 95% + of his passes.
The main aim of a DM is to break up play and disturbute the ball to the more attacking players, it seems FM08 doesn't reward players for there defensive mark so highly (Just in terms of a DM) so as long as he is doing his job you might have to leave with a lower than it should be rating..
Cheers, thts a stupid rule isn it, well im making some changes, but in the last 2 matches ive told him at half time i have faith, both times he reacted good, from a 6 to a 7-8 both times, maybe thts all he needs, a wee push.
