Basically I'm going to start up a new game managing an SPL team outside the old firm in Scotland. My problem is that I'm always pretty narrowminded when it comes to starting new games, usually just picking the league I'm going to be playing in and nothing else, despite having the processing power to pick more.

So, looking to amend this I'm quite stumped for which leagues to run alongside it where I can hopefully attract some nice foreign talent to my club for dirt cheap sort of prices. Are there any real good low profile leagues out there that fit the bill? I was thinking the likes of Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Poland, Bulgaria, Austria and maybe even South Africa with the Vilikaz and Mokoena in FM2007, but as I haven't really touched the smaller european countries in years so my knowledge in this matter is extremely limited and I thank you in advance for any advice you may have.

forget south africa... any decent youngsters wont get a permit anyways...got for romania mate.... seriously full of young talent for pennies

Alot of people reccomend the Scandinavian leagues, apparently there are quite a few good players in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

i'vejust started as Hibs in scotland and added the scandanavian leagues, belgium, holland, slovakia, serbia, Czech Republic and romania.

am playing a challenge game in serbia so know that there's some quality out there...
