I've started a game as Newcastle and have 57m to spend. I've been putting bids in for the usual suspects, Fernandez, Briand, Palacio, Menez etc. But clubs are asking for ridiculous prices! Is this something thats changed with the patch? I'm being asked for:
18m up front for Palacio
17.5m up front for Menez
21m up front for Fernandez
11m up front for Vermaelen
19m up front for Briand
31m up front for Fred
23m up front for Pandev
Not one of those players is worth those prices imo. What the hell is going on? I've tried haggling as much as possible but they keep asking for more everytime they re-negotiate.
MAybe it has changed for the patch but to be honest if I had Menez or Fernandez in my team I would not let them go for virtually any fee.
Fred and Palacio seem over priced though. How much money do Newcastle start with? I am a Sunderland fan but had a good game as Newcastle on last years, Just wondered if they got enough to build a decent team.
Hmmm, not sure about most of them but:
- Made an offer of 7.5M for Fernandez and renegotiated to about 9.5M + 10% sell on and I accepted.
- Some teams have had offers of 13M accepted for Pandev.
- Going to try Menez in a bit. Will let you know how I get on.
Oh and as for Fred, even in the previous patch his price shot up to that amount after about a week or so into the game. He's a quality striker and they wise up to it soon I suppose.
Adding extra players is what I'm referring to btw . . .
He should be there on a large database I think. No need to load anything extra. If he's not there, just load either the French league or all players from France I suppose.
This new patch has given me a bitter sweet feeling tbh. Don't really know who to go for anymore as so many stas have gone down. Martins looks terrible and yet a few people have said how good he is still. And as you said Briand looks pretty crap too. I'm actually going to start again with Newcastle and try and be more wise with my money.
