i have just started with man city and i am past the 1st transfer window. i bought ever banega from boca. however, i keep on losing and my players are not on form at all. i usually play 451 with isakkson in goal, garrido and richards full-backs, corluka and dunne centre halfs, elano, petrov and fernandes/banega CM, vassell AML, geovanni AMR and bianchi up front. what is the problem with this and why am i playing so badly?

when i first started i accidently loaned johnson to sunderland and forgot to do the 'can be recalled' thing so he's gone

one thing i can suggest doing is restarting and saying you can either win the league or be a title challenger you get a kitty of 62 - 68 mill depending on which (have to have 8.02 patch though). The players i look to buy are van der vaart - 17 million, hunterlaar - 15 million, andrey arshavin - 9 million and kompany for 12 million. Keep changing the tatics around until you find one that works.

i dont have the new patch but am having success with City, 2 runners up spots in first 2 seasons and 2 fa cup wins. also made quarter final of champions league

play 4-5-1 with Isaksson in goal

elano attacking right midfield
johnston, richards with ireland attacking in the middle
bianchi up front

have signed d'allasandro, kewell and rigione and are good subs to have. managed to rake in 4.5m for vasell, 3m for empenza and 7.5m for schmeichel

If you are playing Elano and Petrov (especially Petrov!) as part of a 3 man midfield the opposition will walk all over you. Petrov is only good for AML I think.

Drop Vassel and play Elano/Fernandes/Banega as CM's and Petrov as AML. If you hadnt loaned Johnson out he would have been better than Elano as CM and Elano could have replaced Geovanni at AMR.
