Move on. All the time. It's extremely hard with the new FM's to take a BSS to the Champions League. They just don't make enough money to bring in quality players.

It's not hard, it's realistic.

To expand my view:

Name me one English club who made consecutive promotions from BSS (or even Conference) to the EPL and then got into the CL.
To make it a bit easier, a club who progressed through the leagues in about 10 to 15 seasons and they have to end up as a UEFA Cup or CL playing club.

I agree.

Bolton is probably the only example I can think of.

They were in the fourth division in the mid to late eighties but are consistantly top flight nowdays and have been for some years.

Hi, can I just ask on this same topic, What are LlaMas views on actually applying for jobs? I noticed the words "when offered" above but surely it's alright and realistic to apply for jobs?

Wimbledon. (would have play in Cup Winners Cup if English teams weren't banned)

But they are the exception that proves the rule.

I apply all the time. Usually if a news article comes up which says I am linked with a vacancy that I want, then I quit my job and apply.

I have had 2 teams in about 8 season so far in my save game, started at Kettering was with them 5 years then moved on to Sheffield Wednesday once my ambition decided what the board was offering wasn't good enough to match my plans for the club.

I will stay until i am offered a better job and only move then, i wont quit too stubborn and do my best for every club i manage in game.
