Sorry but this might seem like a really silly question but I have never done this before, and am somewhat of a patch virgin.

How do I download the latest version of FM (ie the latest patch)? and do i have to pay for it? and also will I lose the game i have been playing thus far?

Would really appriciate the advice from one of my fellow FM gamers.

Click here, and chose to save the file to your desktop. Once it's downloaded, double click on the file and follow instructions.

It's free and although it does update the database, this won't affect any save games you are playing.

Select the aproporiate version from the one listed at the top of this forum. If you select a torrent then you'll need a torrent client. Something like bittorrent should do you can get this my searching google. Its a free program so wont cost you anything.

All patches are free to download and a normally you can continue any game you've currently started although si do suggest starting a new game to get the full benifit of any patch.

Once downloaded double click on the fm icon and it will install automatically.
