I'm playing Burnley, a club that's richer and more ambitious than it ever has been, and the chairman has just sold our best player for next to nowt as an offer too good to turn down.

I have just patched to 8.02, started a new game, and wish to know how to turn off this "feature".

I've never come across a bug before, and it is seriously spoiling the game for me.

Please please help.

The quickest way would be to use the pre-game editor, edit your chosen chairman's Interfering attribute down very low, and start a new game. Of course, its not going to help if you move to a different club with a higher interfering attribute.

Was hoping there was an in game option to do this, as didn't want to start a new game.

I assume if I alter the database I'd have to start a new game anyway?

Offer the player a better contract and if he signs the deal will be off thats what i do

I did try that. Then he rejected it saying he was worth more. Then moves to the bidding club anyhow for 1/3 of the money!
